What Animal Mammal Made This Track?
Tracking is not only for hunters or wildlife biologists but for folks like you. Children and adults that are wanting a deeper connection to nature. And are excited to learn about the wildlife that leaves tracks and signs in your yards, fields, waterways, and parks. As someone who teaches animal Tracking the question I'm most asked is, "What animal mammal made this track?"
Now, let's do Mammal Animal Tracking!
Let's start by identifying Mammals whose common names begin with the letter B. As in Beaver. The American Beaver. Click each picture to enlarge it for a better visual.

Track Measurements
Front track measures in inches, on average, 2 7/8" to 3 7/8" long and 3 1/2" wide.
Hind track measures in inches on average, 5" to 7" long by 3 1/4" to 5 1/4" wide.
