the whole experience. If you have never camped before, please don't
worry, you are in for a real treat
Where are the camps located?
The 2009 season will be predominately held in our Northern
California camp location. These are semi-remote areas in the rugged

there is an airport nearby in Medford, OR, where we will pick you
up.

Roundtrip shuttle service from the Medford airport is $75.

brings you right into the MT Shasta area. Roundtrip shuttle service
from the Bus or Train station is free. The STAGE or Siskiyou

We are more than happy to help you
make travel arrangements, just go to the
contact
page and send us an email or give us a call at

What will the weather be like?
Camps are at high elevations and during several seasons.
For
this reason we encourage you to go to the following link
http://www.nws.noaa.gov/
for up to date information
concerning localized weather. Generally we experience mild
temperatures during the day and cooler temperatures at night.
What do I need to bring to camp?
Upon receipt of your registration and full tuition payment we
will mail you a confirmation packet, which includes a
health form, liability waiver, camp location map, and an itemized list of gear
for you to bring to camp. The list will include such items as:
camera, notebook, day pack etc. to help make your experience
more comfortable and enjoyable. A tent and sleeping
bag is required for all courses unless otherwise stated. If you do
not possess this equipment, other options are available, please
contact
us.
Do you provide meals for me at camp?
"Yes we do!" We provide excellent wholesome
organic
and free range foods for each camp. The majority of your meals will consist of
rice, pasta,
soup, eggs, whole grain cereal, tortillas/bread, fruit, vegetables, tea, coffee, and
hot chocolate of course. We do offer meat and fish when
possible, but due to the difficulty of storing easily perishable foods in remote camp settings, we
provide a generally vegetarian fare. We take pride in our food
at camp, it is always delicious, even down to the "worm" soup!
Just kidding! Our cooking is done over barbecue, propane stoves, and
with Dutch ovens.
The exception to this is our MINI CAMPS. We do not provide meals, but we
do send you a list of convenient food items. A cooking area
and dish washing station will be provided.
Drinking water is available during all camps at all times.
What Lifesong Wilderness Adventures is NOT.
We are not a religious organization. We are a
nature based organization and our instruction is about wilderness survival.
During camp we discuss and teach indigenous peoples primitive skills
and techniques and spirituality. We also include modern technology like using a map
and compass.
